Open the register

Morning float. The drawer cannot open without internet.

POS refuses to sell until a register is open. Opening needs internet. Selling after that can be offline.

Open

  1. Connect to the internet.
  2. Choose Open Register.
  3. Enter the morning float: the cash already in the drawer.
  4. Confirm. The screen shows expected cash.

During the day

Each cash sale increases expected cash. Cash in and Cash out also move it, and those movements can be saved offline. See Cash in and cash out. A cash shop expense reduces expected cash. See Shop expenses.

History

Register Sessions lists past shifts: when they opened, when they closed, and the variance. Closing is Day close.
