Stock

Products

Name, SKU, barcode, price, cost, unit, minimum stock, and the vendor you buy from.

Nothing can be sold until it is a product. A parent with sizes or colors is not itself sold. See Variants.

Add a product

  1. Open Products, then add a product.
  2. Enter Name, SKU, and Barcode. The barcode is what the counter scans.
  3. Enter Cost and Price.
  4. Enter Stock Quantity for what is on the shelf today.
  5. Set Minimum Stock Level. At or below this number the product is low stock. See Low stock.
  6. Set Unit of Measure: pieces, box, kg, gram, liter, and the other units in the list.
  7. Choose a Category, Status (active products sell; inactive ones do not), and Primary Vendor if you buy it from one supplier.
  8. Add an image if you want it on the product list. Save.
